Message	and other brands. There is a guy from the NE (by accent) who now lives in FL. He is an expert on manuals, diffs and transfer cases. Has a series of you tube videos on manual transmissions. According to him GL-5 will not harm a manual. I changed to a GL-4 beacause of the chatter on sulphur additives harming brass synchros. But MT-90 apears to have the consistence of 40, not 120. I have yet to put enough miles on the new oil to form an opinion, but in the few miles I have driven the car, it seems I hear more sounds from the trans, especially on coasting.
